In the chilly little town of Frostberry, there was a cardigan named Misty. Misty wasn’t the warmest, or the fluffiest, or the prettiest.

But she did have one superpower…

She could sense the weather before it happened. Not just rain or sunshine she could feel everything in her buttons.

Her owner, a cheerful girl named Aanya, loved this strange gift.

Every morning before school, Aanya would ask, “Misty, today? Jacket… umbrella… or nothing?”

And Misty would twitch one sleeve and say:

“Umbrella. 2:17 PM. You’ll thank me later.”

She was ALWAYS right.

But one Friday, something went wrong.

When Aanya asked her the usual morning question, Misty hesitated.

Her sleeves didn’t twitch. Her buttons didn’t vibrate. She felt… blank.

“I don’t know the weather today,” Misty whispered.

Aanya froze. “You ALWAYS know.”

“I know… but something feels strange. Like the weather itself is confused.”

Still trusting her friend, Aanya packed everything a jacket, an umbrella, gloves, even sunglasses.

At school, the kids teased her: “Trying to survive all seasons in one day?”

Aanya laughed it off.

The sky turned sunny. Then windy. Then warm. Then cold. Then misty. Then cloudy again.

Teachers kept checking the forecast. Phones kept glitching.

No one knew what was going on.

Except Misty.

When Aanya returned home, Misty whispered:

“The world wasn’t confused… it was practicing.”

“Practicing what?” Aanya asked.

Misty swayed proudly.

“Winter is coming early this year. Today was the rehearsal.”

Aanya’s eyes widened. “You SAVED me from freezing, sweating, AND getting drenched!”

Misty giggled. “That’s what friends are for.”

From that day on, everyone in Frostberry began asking Aanya:

“What does Misty say about tomorrow?”

And Misty? She never got the weather wrong again.
